Jere Whitehouse has continually distinguished himself with awards and honors throughout his successful real estate career of over 20 years, all in the Montgomery, Alabama, area. Prior to his affiliation with RE/MAX of Montgomery, Jere worked with other major real estate companies and was consistently the top agent out of three offices and over 80 agents. In 1997, in addition to earning the Top Agent Award for the year, he also earned the prestigious "Ed Lowder Award" for Excellence in service to his clients and his leadership within the company.
Since joining RE/MAX of Montgomery, Jere has continued to be a leader in the company, and a well recognized figure in the community. Jere's consistently high volume is a measure of his hard work, dedication and his commitment to serving his valued clients.
Jere's pre-real estate life involved getting degrees in English and Creative Writing, managing a pizza shop in a college town (he could probably still twirl a pizza on his finger!), owning an indoor houseplant shop (he made "house calls" then and he still does!), DJ'ing at several radio stations and managing a sales staff in radio advertising sales. His strong background in marketing carried over to his real estate career, as evidenced by his extensive marketing campaigns for his sellers.
Jere was an Army brat, born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Kearsarge, CVS-33, anti-submarine aircraft carrier, during the Viet Nam era. Because of his military background, Jere can relate to the life adjustments of military moves. In fact, many of his clients have been active duty military either relocating to the Montgomery area to Maxwell AFB or Gunter AFB annex, or leaving the area.
Other than real estate, Jere's real passion is fishing and flying. Although he doesn't go fishing nearly as often as he would like, there are two major lakes nearby, Lake Jordan and Lake Martin, and dozens of small ponds. And he goes flying every chance he gets.
