About the Montgomery, Prattville and Wetumpka, Alabama Area

While Montgomery, Prattville, and Wetumpka are the three largest cities in the tri-county area, Montgomery county has several smaller but growing towns that are nearby the capitol city such as Pike Road and Hope Hull areas.

Elmore county's city of Wetumpka is surrounded by several smaller "bedroom" communities such as Millbrook, Deatsville, Elmore, and Coosada, and Lake Jordan communities of Titus, Slapout, and Holtville. Tallassee, in the northest part of the county close to Lake Martin, has been more of a manufacturing and textile town and in between Tallassee and Wetumpka is the farming community of Eclectic.

Prattville, in Autaga county, is growing leaps and bounds and Pine Level, to the North of Prattville, may soon "break off" and form its own township. Deatsville has parts of its community spilling into Autauga county also.
